On this episode of the podcast, Maura Kenworthy conducts and co-produces a fantastic, really fun, and very conversational interview with me In Person. This is Maura's third time on the show and we recorded this episode at Walnut Woods State Park near West Des Moines/Des Moines. Of the three interviews Maura has done with me, I truly believe this is her BEST INTERVIEW EVER for the show!!
After our introductions, we do a combination of Maura asking me various random questions along with both of us giving commentary on the things we see and hear at Walnut Woods. And for a really special treat, we have a special appearance from Josh Shipman, who is the Park Manager at Walnut Woods. Maura asked Josh a couple questions about Walnut Woods and Josh's role there. It was so exciting and a really special treat for Josh to take a few minutes out of his busy schedule to be on the podcast with Maura and me.

On this episode of the podcast, Ben Atkinson conducts and co-produces a great interview with me thru Zoom. This is Ben's second time on the show and other than a 10 minute interview done way back in October 2019, this is definitely the SHORTEST episode of the podcast ever recorded.
After our intros, Ben asks me a couple questions:
What have you learned about the podcast since the last time I (Ben Atkinson) interviewed you back in November 2023?
Who is a guest you have had on the show recently that you have been intrigued or surprised by or someone who led you to a new topic that you had not thought of and got your curiousity moving in a way that helped you learn something new?
We wrap up the podcast with Ben talking about what he's been up to lately.

On this episode, we do a really special "Basement Dwellers" program where James Alsup, John Robinson, and I record in the basement of Meredith Hall as we were all students in the Broadcast wing of the J-School at Drake back in the 1990's. This is James' fifth time and John's third time on the podcast.
After our introductions, we basically do a combination of reminiscing about all the time we spent in the Meredith Basement when we were students and we took an in-depth tour of all the rooms and how they have significantly changed since our Drake days, particularly over the last decade. I do a fairly decent job serving as the "Tour Guide" for our in-depth tour of the facilities where I basically explain the changes based on what Sandy Henry taught me (during the in-depth tour of the basement that she gave me for the podcast back on October 20, 2023).

On this episode of the podcast, Sandy Henry conducts/co-produces a fantastic, superb, pretty energetic, and very conversational interview with me In Person. This is Sandy's 6th time (5th In Person) on the show and we recorded this episode at Greenwood Park in Des Moines.
After our introductions, Sandy asked me a bunch of questions and we did a walk between the amphitheater, Rose Garden, and waterfall areas.
1. Who has been on the Juice with Jeff the most number of times?
2. Who are the Dream Guests that haven't interviewed you yet who you would love to have interview you? I did elaborate on a bunch of really special and locally famous celebrities that have interviewed me for the podcast over the last year during part of my answer to this question.
3. How many people do you think have interviewed you over the last nine years you've these interviews done?
4. Is there a question you have never been asked that you wish someone would ask you? So Sandy asked me if I ever played ping pong on that ping pong table in the Meredith Hall Basement and if not, why not?
We then start our walk along all the beautiful roses and flowers on the amphitheater stage area and then we hike up the hill to the Rose Garden area of the park where Sandy and I give detailed commentary on all the roses and sculptures we see there.
5. How do you edit the podcasts and what's your goal in uploading the episodes to your platforms?
6. Which platform do your listeners listen to the show on the most?
Then after spending quite a bit of time in the Rose Garden area, we then go back down the hill to the waterfall/lagoon area of Greenwood and do the rest of the podcast there. For the remainder of the show, Sandy asks me to talk about my TV Show/Movie Collection on DVD's and Blu-Rays.
This episode was recorded on Friday morning June 19, 2026 and it runs 1 hour and 8 minutes long. Our opening and closing theme music is provided by Anastasia Chubarova courtesy of Pixabay. Funding for this podcast is provided by RandomKid, Lee Larue, and Rachel Graham. Enjoy!
