On this episode of the podcast, Libby Buchmeier conducts and co-produces a fantastic interview with me in person. This is Libby's second time on the podcast.
This episode of the podcast is completely about positive stuff with Libby asking me to talk about the following subjects:
a. How I watched all of the DVDs in my TV Show and Movie Collection in alphabetical order from A to Z between January 1st and July 4th this year and a few things about some of these movies, and there are moments where Libby offers her thoughts on some of these films or TV shows.
b. How I have become more passionate and intensely interested in The Blues Brothers over the last 7 to 8 months and some trivia about both The Blues Brothers as a musical group and about the film itself.
c. How I've become really passionate about movies that were designed as Roadshow Theatrical Releases and what makes these types of films unique and special, along with a list of such movies that I have in my DVD collection.
d. We end the podcast with Libby and I talking about the positive changes that took place in Riverview Park over the last several years.

On this episode of the podcast, Lilianna and Jarad Bernstein conduct and co-produce a fantastic and superb interview with me in person. This is Lil's fifth time on the podcast, Jarad's third time on the show, and their third time doing it together with me in person.
Jarad and Lilianna asked me questions on the following topics: How my birthday and this past weekend (October 19th thru 22nd) went and why I consider this birthday to be the best one I've had in quite a while, the recent tour I did with Sandy Henry of the significantly renovated facilities in Meredith Hall at Drake particularly with the audio and TV/video production facilities, the 6 weeks I spent in Israel during the summer of 1993 and examples of things I did during that summer on Ramah Israel Seminar, the hikes I regularly took during the 6 weeks of Summer 1993 in Israel, what I did for birthdays as a child and other years (as an adult over the last decade) where I had really nice birthdays, my growing love for parks over the last 2-1/2 years, where I would want to go when the time comes where I can easily travel somewhere around the world, and my love for lighthouses.

On this episode of the podcast, Micole Van Walbeek conducts and co-produces a fantastic and superb interview with me in person. This is Micole's fifth time on the podcast, and her third time doing it in person.
Micole asked me several questions on fun topics, including summarizing how things in the audio/TV production areas in the J-School area at Drake are different now versus what things were like when I was a student (back in the mid to late 1990's) and then what landmarks I would like to feature and interview people about if I were asked to be the host of a Real Estate and Lifestyle TV program.
After answering Micole's first two questions to me, I asked Micole to talk about her being one of the 10 or so Des Moines/ Central Iowa Realtors selected to be a Host on an every two months basis for the Des Moines episodes of the really popular TV and internet program The American Dream that focuses on real estate and lifestyle matters relevant to each local community and how she enjoys interviewing people for these shows on an every other month basis.
Then Micole asks me to talk a little bit more about these podcasts, and then about what I love about The Blues Brothers along with some fun facts or trivia about them.

On this episode of the podcast, Sandy Henry conducts and co-produces a fantastic and superb interview with me in person. This is Sandy's third time on the podcast, and her second time doing it in person. For this particular episode, Sandy and I have equal turns co-hosting the interview, and it involves a mix of both indoors and outdoors with a tour of various things on the Drake University campus.
This is a really special episode of the podcast as the overwhelming majority of the program (a full hour's worth) involves a tour of the many changes that have taken place in Meredith Hall at Drake, especially with the E-Media audio and TV production facilities in "The Basement", and then we look at some outdoor points of interest on the Drake campus afterwards. Then for the remaining 20 minutes of the podcast, Sandy asks me to talk about my love for movies and about my significantly growing TV Show and Movie DVD Collection. There is a cameo appearance by Micole Van Walbeek at literally the very end of this episode.

On this episode of the podcast, Jenny Blumberg and Inbal Mazar conduct and co-produce a fantastic interview with me in person in conjunction with an outdoor celebration that took place for my birthday in my friend Sophie Homonoff's backyard. This is Jenny's debut and first time on the show, and Inbal's second time.
Jenny does most of the interview and she asks me to talk about how I started these podcasts, my love for music and certain kinds of movies, certain things Jenny remembers from our growing up together with me and my sister Marni. Then I ask Jenny to talk about what she does in her daily life and about what impacts her in life. For the last few minutes of the podcast recording session, Inbal takes over the the interviewing and asks me several "Would You Rather" questions.
We wrap up the podcast with everyone at the party singing "Happy Birthday" in Hebrew ("Yom Huledet Sameah").

On this episode of the podcast, Annie Andrews O'Dell does a great interview with me thru Zoom. This is Annie's first time on the show.
Unlike most other episodes of the podcast, we had no specific topics planned at all. We simply had a real time conversation about things like; Memories and favorite moments from our VHS days, what each of us does in our daily lives, the health issues both of us deal with, and another thing or two. We were flying by the seat of our pants for the entire show.

On this episode of the podcast, Liz Cox conducts and co-produces a fantastic, superb, and outstanding interview with me in person. This is Liz's first time on the show and we had a two-way conversation on a whole bunch of topics. This is one of those episodes of the show where as we are in the middle of talking about one topic, it leads to another topic being brought up several times.
The two of us have a two-way conversation on a potpourri of different topics such as: My lifetime friendship with Dana Mintzer Leman and several examples of special things that Dana has done for me, the history behind and goals of The Juice with Jeff podcasts, parks and nature, Fred Rogers o.b.m. and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, a small hint of The Blues Brothers, and other stuff.
We wrap up the podcast with Liz and I singing "It's Such a Good Feeling" from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.
We recorded this episode at Crossroads Park (west of Crossroads Park Elementary School) in West Des Moines on Thursday night August 17, 2023 and it runs a FEATURE LENGTH of 1 hour and 29 minutes. As is the case with all of "The Juice with Jeff" podcasts, funding for this podcast is provided by Realty With Ahart and RandomKid. Enjoy!!
NOTE: This is a Re-Edited and Revised version of Liz's interview with me. In the original version of the podcast, I said some things which were incorrect concerning the history of the former Des Moines Jewish Academy, The Academy, and Bergman Academy. I re-edited the part of the show which talks about this topic and made the appropriate corrections.
