On this episode of the podcast, Laura Grisamore conducts and co-produces her fantastic, superb, really fun, and very conversational interview with me thru Zoom. This is Laura's fifth time on the podcast.
During the interview, Laura and I have a conversation on the following:
I summarize for Laura how we got to the point of having 73 new episodes produced and recorded of the podcast during this year so far, along with the several ways we given the podcast an even more professional look this year.
Laura asks me to talk about the things I'm doing to make my 50th birthday really special. I talk about how having the 73 new episodes produced of the podcast (42 in person and 31 thru Zoom) throughout this year has made my 50th birthday year the best year ever so far. I then go into detail about how I am watching all 45 of the DVD's in my Roadshow Theatrical Film Minyan collection in order from the oldest of these films produced in 1939 to the youngest produced in 1972, one per night almost every night (except for Friday nights) between Labor Day weekend and my actual birthday night. And I mention how I very much want to have a one on one or small group get together (outdoors or in a well ventilated place away from crowds) during my birthday weekend including one or two in person interviews for the podcast as part of it.
Laura and I share our thoughts on the movies I mention, both the Roadshow films and the regular general movies. We even share memorable quotes from a few of these films.
We happen to discuss a few classic cartoons and it leads to Halloween being brought up.

On this episode of the podcast, Dave Nellis conducts and co-produces an excellent interview with me thru Zoom. This is Dave's debut and first time on the podcast.
During the interview, we bring up the following subjects:
1. Dave asks me to talk about how I enjoy doing audio production and podcasts as a hobby, even though I don't do podcasting or audio production for a living. At the end of this part of the interview, Dave stressed how one doesn't need to do something for a living in order to enjoy it, and I strongly agree with Dave on this.
2. We talked for a few minutes about Colorado where Dave lives.
3. I go into depth about how I have become really passionate about the films which were originally presented as Roadshow Theatrical engagements, along with how The Blues Brothers was originally planned to be a nearly three hour roadshow presentation with an Intermission and Entracte. I go into detail about the DVD's in my "Roadshow Theatrical Film Minyan".
4. Dave and I share memories from our Valley High School days. I tell Dave about several major changes which have occurred with the VHS grounds as well as how Valley Stadium and the Maplenol Dairy Barn have relocated to another part of West Des Moines.

On this episode of the podcast, Tiffany Welch conducts and co-produces her fantastic, superb, and really conversational interview with me in person. This is Tiffany's debut and first time on the show. We recorded this episode at Greenwood Park (the Amphitheater and Waterfall areas) in Des Moines.
After I share with Tiffany how this year has been super special for the podcast in multiple ways, we have a deep two way conversation where both of us shared our thoughts on topics like: what our perspective religions/faith believe about alcohol and fasting as well as our personal views on both subjects, travel experiences both of us have had, our love for nature and parks, what both of us enjoy cooking for comfort recipes, the importance of maintaining our Democracy, and how critically important this upcoming 2024 Election is and how it's absolutely essential that everyone 18 and older vote.
We wrap up the podcast with me giving a fantastic performance of the following voice impersonations for Tiffany: Fat Albert, Mushmouth, Michael Buffer (the "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" announcer), Elwood and Jake Blues, Trump, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Mitt Romney, Current President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, Snagglepus, Huckleberry Hound, Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd, Tweety and Sylvester, Lawrence Well, Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin/Sammy Davis Jr singing Des Moines commercial jingles, and Jim Morrison singing the Toys R' Us jingle.
The interview overall has a "keeping it as real and raw as possible" feel with a lots of two way conversation. We've now set an all time record with this interview. Not only is this now the SECOND lengthiest episode of the whole entire Juice with Jeff series that we've ever done since these audio interviews began in 2017, but it is now officially the LONGEST IN PERSON EPISODE that we have ever done on the entire podcast series (so far)!!!

On this episode of the podcast, Dawn Edwards conducts and co-produces her fantastic, superb, outstanding, extremely fun, very energetic, and really conversational interview with me in person. This is Dawn's debut/first time on the podcast and we recorded this episode at Ewing Park on the south side of Des Moines (most of the interview was recorded from the park's "Soapbox Derby" area"). I truly believe that this episode is one of the very best and most fun interviews we've ever done with the whole podcast series!!
We had a deep two way conversation that mostly focused on various aspects of living in Des Moines/Central Iowa, and both Dawn and I share our thoughts on the things Des Moines and Central Iowa. If you are interested in hearing about a number of things Des Moines has to offer and our perspectives on it, this is definitely the episode for you!! I also shared stories with Dawn about a bunch of Central Iowa/Des Moines high profile and local celebrities that I met over the last few years and I told Dawn about several local celebrities/high profile people that have conducted interviews with me for the podcast. We wrap up this episode with Dawn asking me if I wanted a particular person or specific people to interview me, who would they be?
